9/23/2009 - 1st Annual Kern River Budosai announced! This event will be held in Bakersfield, California, at the Bakersfield Budo Dojo of associate member Robin Ramirez sensei and his partner Brandon Ream sensei. This event will offer seminars in various sword arts, including Mugai-ryu, Shin Shin Sekiguchi-ryu, Ono-ha Itto-ryu and Toyama-ryu, among others, in addition to Naginata (Suio-ryu), Jo (Shinto Muso-ryu), and competitive Tameshigiri (test cutting) for both Iai and Batto.
